Allison Janney
Allison Brooks Janney was born in the year 1959, on the 19th November. [2] She is an American actress. Over three decades, she is well-known for her performance across various genres of screen as well as stage. Janney was awarded various awards such as an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award as well as an Golden Globe Award, and seven Primetime Emmy Awards, in addition to being nominated for 2 Tony Awards. Janney was born in Boston and grew up in Dayton (Ohio). The actress earned a scholarship to studies at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art after graduating from Kenyon College. After a few years of marginal and not-credited appearances on television and film her breakthrough came in the role of C. J. Cregg in The West Wing, an NBC dramatic drama The West Wing (1999-2006) where she earned 4 Primetime Emmy Awards. In 2014, she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in Drama Series in the role of Margaret Scully on the Showtime period drama Masters of Sex. The most notable role she played was her role as Bonnie Plunkett.
